I'm glad this is an election year! It's a good thing some folks are not running for reelection though. This is just a "sample" of some of the good old boy goin's on.
- In the eastern district, a road was graveled at taxpayers expense. Someone living either on the road, or traveling the road daily, did not like the color of the gravel. The county (at taxpayer expense again), RE-GRAVELED the road in a different color. Have the County Commissioners been watching a little too much 'QUEER EYE FOR THE STRAIGHT GUY" lately?
- Another resident in the eastern district, threw a bunch of Johnson grass in the middle of a county road (supposedly not much more than a garbage bag full). A neighbor, whose property the road passed through, was unhappy because he thought the grass may blow onto his property (and reseed). The neighbor called the county and they sent out THREE county employees (at taxpayer expense), to remove ONE trashbag full of Johnson grass.
- How about $15,000 to put ashpalt on a road. Then it didn't suit, so another huge hunk of taxpayer money was used to put a "cold pack" over it.
- Hey, there are still people receiving gravel for private drives (ALL AT TAXPAYER EXPENSE). When I find out the names of those receiving the gravel, I will print them on this blog. Sue me.
These are not confirmed facts - YET - but they will be.
Ask your commissioner to verify & JUSTIFY these expenditures of your hard earned money!

Hey I must not have the right connections....I been trying for months to get just one load of gravel on the little lane to my house. Who do I need to talk to? And then I'll gladly confirm it!!! You'll hear me jump for joy if I come home to a gravelled driveway....
