Center Park

I saw the sod damage a couple of days ago. I know it is childish ignorance. Remeber a few years ago when someone pulled the flag pole down and drug it out in the country -- with the flag still on it? Now that was worse than childish ignorance. Supposedly these were 18-19 year old boys that did this, and they definitely should have know better. Not only was it disrespectful to the flag & community, it was criminal!

Now we have young teens being destructive in the park trying to vandalize some very expensive playground items that our younger generations enjoy immensely. Mr. "John Doe"  should be commended on how he handled the situation. Not only did he basically make a citizens arrest, he phoned the proper law enforcement authorities. Now the mother of this teen is another matter all together! I understand that she came after Mr. "John Doe" with a ball bat when she found out what he had done! By that example, is this mother telling the world that she approves of what her son did? Sounds like it to me, so I think she should be arrested as well for not being able to control her child. This mother not only sets a bad example for her child, she gives the community the impression that she is probably just a bitch. If he were mine, I would have paddled that boys ass all the way back to his home, and be-damned with what the neighbors may have thought of me. Go ahead, call the child abuse hotline! Some of these "parents" need to start acting like parents and stop defending their potential juvenile delinquent. Down the road, I'm sure we'll be reading about this boy in a police report somewhere.
